Types of Pizza Slices
Pizza slices come in all shapes and sizes. There are typically two shapes of pizza slices you can get at a pizzeria. Triangles or squares. Does the shape of the slice change the flavor of a pizza? No. But there are several pros and cons to each shape.
The triangle cut is the most convenient way to cut pizza since it’s a circle. If you’re a traditionalist then triangles are the way to go. Here are some of the benefits of a triangular pizza slice.
- Every piece has a crust.
- It’s easier to hold or fold.
- Every slice is even, which means no fighting for the biggest slice.
The square cut is a more modern take to the pizza slice even though it’s a little harder to cut pizza this way. Here are some of the benefits to the square slice.
- Smaller slices which are great for snacking.
- More slices per pie.
- Some slices have no crust which is great for those who don’t like the crust.
- The corners with the smallest triangle slice are great for children.
